As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world's energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.
Job Summary
Pipe fitter operationalizes project pipeline facilities, defines strokes and scales pipes; quantifies materials and inspects; prepares local facilities, performs pre-assembly and installation of pipes. Tests operating pressure and fluid tightness. Protects plants and performs maintenance on equipment and accessories.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Will perform isometrics reading, exchanging pipes, industrial gaskets and threaded controls, flanged and welded;
2. Knowledge and practice in maintenance of pumps;
3. Perform corrective and preventive maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic plumbing of machinery and equipment;
4. Knowledge and practice of electrical and oxyfuel welding;
5. Identify fluid pressure;
6. Check validity of materials; Conditioning materials on-site;
7. Cutting tubes; Fit connections;
8. Set drawn pipes; Scale pipes; Tapping on the pipes; Bending pipes; Sealing pipes;
9. Interconnect networks to extensions (point of use);
10. Secure networks distribute and lay pipes;
11. Install pressure gauges on the network;
12. Test monitor the manometer and the network;
13. Test water pressure coming from the concessionaire;
14. Replace defective equipment or accessories and out-dated;
15. Identify materials, equipment and instruments used in the solution of the faults or defects;
16. Activate and deactivate delivery systems;
17. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Professional courses in the area equivalent to 200hrs.
3. Experience of power generation (gas/steam turbines) and associated auxiliary equipment is preferable.
