We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Assistant Payroll Manager to oversee and manage payroll procedures within our client's payroll Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll systems and outstanding communication skills. Description Oversee and manage payroll procedures within the department. Ensure accurate and timely payments to all staff. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll regulations and statutory reporting requirements. Implement and maintain payroll systems to improve efficiency. Liaise with HR and other departments to ensure accuracy of payroll data. Handle queries and complaints related to payroll issues. Supervise and mentor junior members of the payroll team. Prepare regular reports for senior management. Profile A successful Assistant Payroll Manager should have: A robust understanding of payroll systems and regulations. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven experience in a similar role within the public sector. An ability to work accurately and to tight deadlines. A proactive approach to problem-solving. A degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
