If so, GSL Education has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Sports graduate to join a secondary school in Wakefield as a Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor. As a Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant (TA) /Cover Supervisor (CS), you will provide valuable support in the classroom and PE lessons, stepping in to lead classes in the absence of teachers. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop classroom management skills and gain experience in a school setting, ideal for aspiring teachers or coaches. Responsibilities: Assist teachers in delivering lessons, with a focus on PE and sports activities. Ensure the completion of pre-set work in the absence of the teacher by supervising the classes. Support students in small groups or one-on-one to enhance their learning. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring school policies are upheld. Encourage student participation and engagement in lessons and extracurricular activities. Requirements: A degree in Sports, Physical Education, or a related discipline. A passion for working with young people and helping them achieve their potential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage and engage groups of students confidently. Previous experience working with children or in coaching is desirable but not essential.
