We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our Band 6 Rotation at ESNEFT.
The role includes rotations through the following areas:
1. Reactive Emergency Assessment Community Team (REACT)
2. Blue Bird Lodge - Community Hospital
3. St Elizabeth Hospice
4. Ipswich Hospital inpatient wards: Trauma and Orthopaedics/Surgery
5. Medical/Oncology
6. Emergency Assessment Unit (EAU)
7. Stroke
8. Older Peoples’ Services
This position can also be considered for those wishing to develop their skills from Band 5 to Band 6 level – Preceptorship must be completed.
Deliver a high standard OT service in designated clinical areas.
Manage a defined complex caseload under the management of the Team Leader, using evidence-based, client-centred principles to assess, plan and evaluate OT interventions, ensuring compliance with HCPC, RCOT, CQC and Trust clinical and quality standards.
To ensure as far as is reasonably practical the safety of the patients in your care.
To supervise and assist in the development of junior OTs, non-qualified staff and students on placement.
To undertake audit of both clinical practice and processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
To be flexible in working in a 7-day service with extended hours in specific settings.
Participation in Band 6 OT rotation.
