Infrastructure Engineer
Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a leading consultancy, working on a variety of high-profile projects across the UK. This role offers a chance to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of complex infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities of the role:
1. Develop designs for highways and drainage infrastructure using relevant software, such as Civils 3D and MicroDrainage.
2. Prepare feasibility studies, technical reports, and design documentation for planning submissions and approvals.
3. Undertake detailed design calculations and assessments for sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and flood risk mitigation.
4. Coordinate with architects, planners, and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
5. Manage and deliver projects on time and within budget, maintaining high-quality standards.
6. Provide support to junior engineers, reviewing their work and fostering professional development.
7. Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Requirements:
1. A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
2. Chartered or working towards Chartership with ICE or similar professional body.
3. Proven experience in infrastructure design, including highways and drainage.
4. Proficiency in software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, and AutoCAD.
5. Strong understanding of design standards, including DMRB, Sewers for Adoption, and local authority guidelines.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Experience with Section 38, 104, and 278 agreements.
9. Knowledge of flood risk assessment and environmental impact considerations.
