Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can access the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.
About us: Wheatfield's Hospice is in Headingley, Leeds. We provide expert palliative care. We support people living with a life-limiting condition, and also provide help and advice to their loved ones and family.

The successful applicants will play an active role within our team. It's all about giving our patients the best possible quality of life. The support we offer is tailored to meet individuals' medical, social, spiritual and emotional needs.
Job Responsibilities
* Responsible for providing support, leadership, recognition and supervision to other team members as appropriate.
* Demonstrating own activities to new or less experienced colleagues and carrying out day-to-day supervision of work of others.
* Supporting education, training, demonstration and guidance to carers, colleagues and students as appropriate.
* Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individualised clinical care of service users using evidence-based guidelines and giving specialist advice to service users.
* Using evidence-based practice to develop and maintain high-quality service users care and to ensure the continuous improvement of the Sue Ryder nursing service. Following policies and contributing ideas on proposals for change.
Person Specification
Experience
* You will be an NMC registered nurse, with post-registration experience. While palliative care experience is desirable, we will accept applications from nurses of varying backgrounds with a desire to learn.
* You will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to work well within a team, use initiative and have excellent communication skills.
