About the role...
We are recruiting an aspiring Accounts Payable Clerk on a Fixed Term Contract to join our Accounts Payable team based at our Customer Service Centre in Walsall.
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will report to the Accounts Payable Team Leader. You will be responsible for answering telephone calls, emails, and queries within the Team.

The role is hybrid with up to 4 days per week in our Customer Support Centre in Walsall alongside the wider finance team.
What you'll be doing...
* Reconciling Supplier Statements to the Finance System
* Completion of weekly Sensitive Accounts Statements
* Ensure invoices are processed
* Take all calls from suppliers and resolve questions and queries
* Liaising with different teams within the business to ensure all invoices are processed
* Action any correspondence relating to overdue accounts
* Maintain close working relationships with suppliers and internal departments
What you'll need...
* Previous experience in a fast-paced Accounts Payable department
* A detailed understanding of Accounts Payable processes and controls
* A good working knowledge of stock procedures and reporting
* Good standard of Excel
* Ability to work within a team and on an individual basis
