As a HGV Driver, you will be expected to:
Ensuring all orders are delivered to the customers of Sovini Trade Supplies in a professional and efficient manner, meeting and exceeding customer demands at all times.
Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Completing warehousing duties as instructed by senior personnel when required.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Maintain detailed knowledge of all products and materials (i.e. qualities, uses, sizes, quantities, availability etc.) and to understand what items / building materials are required for both Trade & Retail Customers needs.
Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
To meet appraisal targets and support the delivery and achievement of overall business objectives.

Adhere with Section 7 of the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.

To be successful in a HGV Driver role, the skills you will need:
Class 2 license and valid CPC qualification.
Valid HIAB licence.
Experience of working within a builders merchant environment.
Experience of driving Class 2 wagons and performing multi-drop deliveries.
Knowledge of legislation, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to logistics and warehouse operations.
Ability to prioritise and manage workload to meet strict deadlines.
Self-motivated with enthusiasm, commitment and drive and ability to work under pressure and still produce a high standard of work.
Good organisational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Also able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.

Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential:
Counterbalance forklift truck license.
