Location: Bolton
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
About Us:
We are partnering with a newly established provider to recruit an experienced Registered Manager for a brand-new children's residential service in Bolton. This is a unique opportunity to join a fresh venture from the ground up, taking full operational responsibility for a solo-bed home supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). You'll work with the support of an experienced Responsible Individual and external consultancy to ensure success.
Our client is entering the children's residential sector with a strong foundation, led by a Director with a proven track record in adult social care. Planning permission is secured, the property requires no renovations, and the home is ready to launch. With plans to expand to 3-4 additional homes, this role offers genuine career progression for the right candidate.
The Role:
As the Registered Manager, you will:
1. Lead the operational setup and day-to-day management of the home.
2. Ensure the highest standards of care and safeguarding for children with EBD.
3. Meet and exceed Ofsted regulatory requirements.
4. Recruit, build, and manage a competent and stable staff team.
5. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and child-centred practice.
6. Collaborate with the Responsible Individual, local authorities, and external stakeholders.
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Previous experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager in a children's residential home (essential).
2. A proven track record of delivering positive outcomes for children with EBD.
3. In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, quality standards, and safeguarding practices.
4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and retain a high-performing team.
5. NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Children & Young People's Services) or working towards it.
6. A passionate, accountable, and child-first approach to care.
This is a rare chance to shape a new service from the outset, with the autonomy to make a lasting impact and the support to succeed. If you're ready to lead with purpose and grow with an ambitious provider, we want to hear from you.
