We are looking for an Administrator join our Savings Team at Marsden Building Society. With a focused and logical approach to problem solving, the successful candidate will be methodical, and detail orientated to ensure the accurate processing of member transactions.
Working within a dedicated Savings Team, the Administrator will support all Savings related processes including ensuring that the appropriate paperwork is completed for notifications of death and power of attorney. They will support the processing of ISA transfers and cheque administration while processing customer requests including account amendments and transacting.
It’s essential that the successful candidate has a good basic understanding of arithmetic and is able to complete basic mathematical calculations. The Administrator will reconcile transactions and submit returns to the Finance department. They will also calculate interest adjustments and process and verify standing orders, direct debits and ad-hoc bacs payments.
The successful candidate will also need to share the Marsden Building Society passion for outstanding personal service. The Administrator will need to take calls from our members, supporting them patiently and engaging in meaningful conversations to ensure that requests are processed accurately.
Reporting to the Savings Manager, this is an exciting opportunity that would suit someone who has previous experience of working within an administrative role, particularly if that role included an element of basic maths (e.g. percentages, invoices etc.). This can be within a range of backgrounds, however roles within or related to Financial Services are more desirable. If you have not yet had the opportunity to work within Financial Services, we have a fantastic training program which will support you with coaching and learning to develop your career at the Marsden.
We are looking for our next team member to have a good standard of general education (GCSE Grade C or above), effective communication skills, excellent attention to detail, good basic maths skills, and the ability to deal with queries and problem solve.
