We are seeking Import Operators to join our growing team in Heathrow. This crucial role involves coordinating the movement of import airfreight shipments from beginning to end, including customs clearances and deliveries. You will also be responsible for developing strong relationships with our customers, ensuring their needs are met and helping to maximise the client experience. Key Responsibilities Freight Forwarding Processes : End-to-end working knowledge of freight forwarding processes and procedures. Customs Clearance : Manage customs clearance requirements efficiently. Customer Relationship Development : Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients. Internal Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams to ensure client KPIs are achieved and exceeded. Profitability Management : Oversee shipment profitability and margin management. Supplier Negotiations : Negotiate and build strong relationships with suppliers. Customer Portfolio Management : Manage your portfolio of customers in line with agreed operating procedures. Reporting : Create customer-specific reports as needed. Market Awareness : Maintain a good awareness of market trends and dynamics. Team Support : Collaborate with team members and provide support and cover during absences. Key Skills & Experience Industry Experience : Background in freight forwarding / logistics. Customer Service Skills : High levels of customer service and a passion for client satisfaction. Team Player : Ability to work well within a team environment. Time Management : Robust time management and organizational skills. Communication Skills : Confident and articulate communicator.
