Our client is seeking an M&E Manager (Mechanical Bias) to oversee a £10 million package for a project in London. They are a highly reputable and successful main contractor with a proven track record of delivering iconic and large-scale projects across the city.
Responsibilities:
1. Procurement of materials.
2. Overseeing and planning of all coordination of M&E Services within the scheme.
3. Overseeing of any further Mechanical or electrical subcontractors that may be appointed throughout the duration of the scheme.
4. Witness and sign off all heating and cold-water testing before closing of wall and ceilings.
5. QA of installation of all Mechanical and electrical packages.
6. All testing to be witnessed, including inhibitor flushing, chlorination flushing, flow rates tests and MVHR extract tests.
7. Attend all Design team meetings.
8. Chair weekly M&E subcontractor meetings with Project manager in attendance.
9. Prepare and issue weekly report on M&E progress and contractors on site to PM.
10. Ensuring all products installed by contractors are fit for purpose, compliant and that Employers requirements are fulfilled.
11. Ensuring Subcontractors employed carry out works as per their agreed contract scope documents.
12. Ensure all subcontractors and site operatives to be working to their method statements. Method statements to be reviewed alongside health and safety department to ensure methodology is safest way of carrying out the works.
13. Ensure all operatives are signed up to risk assessments and daily safe starts.
Requirements:
1. Knowledge of QA Processes - Ideally using Fieldview.
2. Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in M&E Management.
3. Knowledge of current legislation: Health and Safety requirements, building regulations, NHBC site specific requirement.
4. Knowledge of the industry standards, UKPS, UKPN, BT fibre requirements for installations.
