An exciting opportunity has arisen within Cancer Services at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking to recruit a Band 4 Associate Practitioner within the Breast Care Nursing Team, on a permanent basis for 18.5 hours per week (Thursday & Friday). This is a non-clinical role that involves both patient contact and administrative duties.
As part of ongoing support, all patients with breast cancer are offered a Macmillan Holistic Needs Assessment at key points after their diagnosis. A vital part of this role will be undertaking these assessments over the telephone in a virtual clinic.
The other important aspect of the role will be administrative support to the breast care nursing team, enabling them to focus on their clinical duties.
The appointee must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a diverse multi-disciplinary group of clinicians, patients, and allied healthcare providers. You must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, organised, computer literate, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, with a commitment to continued personal development.
This post is based at York Hospital, but travel to other sites may be required occasionally.
We encourage anyone interested in this exciting opportunity to contact us for further details.
