You will be working for clients such as Network Rail and a number of major infrastructure contractors on a variety of projects. Most of our work is in and around London and the South East but we work all over the UK as well as occasional overseas jobs.
This role involves working as part of a small team; it demands a self-motivated, dedicated and flexible all-rounder. You will have both specialist technical skills and the willingness and aptitude to lead and contribute to all aspects of successful project delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:
Take responsibility for planning, organising, testing and commissioning of new and altered high and low voltage distribution and power supply systems including:
HV switchgear up to 33kV
DC switchgear up to 8000A
Transformers, rectifiers and protection relays
Low voltage auxiliary systems
Planning, leading and undertaking the routine in-service maintenance testing of a wide range of high voltage electrical equipment.
Reviewing diagrams and developing strategies to commission plant and equipment to with client specifications whilst minimising disruption and risk to operational systems.
Preparation of Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans and Training Materials.
Undertaking Factory and Site Acceptance Testing for major items of plant.
Liaising with our clients, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the construction and commissioning processes.
Undertaking or supervising NICEIC electrical installation testing to C&G 2391 as requested.
Delivering client training covering both operational and technical competencies.
Completion of comprehensive commissioning and maintenance records and diaries.
Qualifications, experience and aptitude should include:
An industry-applicable HNC, HND, or City & Guilds / NVQ Level 4 or 5 equivalent as a minimum.
Demonstrable experience of working in HV power and distribution, preferably in the rail sector.
Confidence and reliability in managing and organising your own and others’ workload.
Desire for growth and development in technical skill and management capability.
Excellent communication skills – proactive and customer focused.
Willingness to work nights and weekends when required
