Our client based in Hertfordshire is a respected Freight Forwarder and is currently looking for an experienced Internal Sales/Customer Service Executive to build and develop existing client relationships, maximize business potential, and calculate Air, Road, and Sea Freight Quotations. The main day-to-day duties include:
1. Multi-modal freight forwarding experience, ideally with an export bias (not essential).
2. Export sales experience.
3. Sales/customer service or operations experience.
4. Proven success in handling and calculating RFQs and tender submissions.
5. Experience negotiating with clients and/or suppliers.
6. Key account management experience with a proven record of developing relationships.
7. Experience calculating KPI reports.
8. Experience in face-to-face client and supplier meetings.
9. Good administrative skills.
10. Good numerical skills.
11. Good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with a positive and engaging personality. They should be customer service-oriented and possess a strong work ethic, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
