The EHS Advisor implements and (co)develops improvement plans for relevant EHS activities in line with policies and procedures at the site/discipline; to minimize EHS risks.

Your responsibilities:
Provides clear and detailed advice, support on matters relating to EHS general.
Supports existing EHS programs and policies, and starts to contribute to the development of new programs.
Effectively conducts a range of increasingly complex risk and health assessments at the site.
Compiles relevant EHS reports (e.g. accident, health) as necessary, and conducts analyses of the information that lead to further actions that improve EHS standards. Measures and records EHS statistics in line with JM and legislative requirements.
Actively promotes EHS awareness on site, which will lead to improved EHS culture.
Monitors and reports that performance control measures are maintained e.g. around fire prevention and protection, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and safe behaviour etc.
Prepares and participates in audits as and when required to satisfy legislative, business and JM EHS standards.
Requirements for the role:
Minimum of a NEBOSH General Certificate or similar H&S Qualification
Previous EHS experience / proven background in an industrial, research, process driven or engineering setting
Understanding of EHS legislation
Working knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001
Working knowledge of Environmental Permitting
Experience of Confined Space Entry Permits and General Permit To Work
