Salary: £55,000-£60,000 per annum
Purpose of Role
You will perform an influential and high-profile role, delivering financial and commercial support to Compass Levy and the client, The All-England Lawn Tennis Club. Through effective business partnering, the role will continually improve service levels, cost effectiveness, and add value to commercial activities undertaken. The Finance Business Partner will lead a small team and report into the Senior Finance Hub Manager.
Location
Site based at The All-England Lawn Tennis Club, in Wimbledon, London. The role is fully on site during the Championships period (June to August). Outside of this period, remote working opportunities are available, but the role holder must be on site a minimum of 3 days per week.
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Accountant with at least 3 years post qualification experience
* Extensive experience of business partnering non-finance professionals to support the delivery of sound financial information.
* Experience of management accounting inclusive of accounting adjustments, producing reports/analysis to support commercial decision making.
* Analytical and highly numeric, with a high level of attention to detail
* Strong, dynamic team player
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends around The Championships delivery period.
* Advanced Excel skills
* Self-motivated with an ability to effectively plan and organise own work.
* Experience of team management and proven ability to motivate a small team.
* Ability to take on a broad spectrum of work under pressure and to deliver to agreed timescales.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence internal and external parties.
* Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate oral and written information concisely and logically.
* Ability to adopt a lean methodology of continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities
* Business Partner Account Director and HODs, ensuring strong commercial and operational decision making, with management of financial risks and opportunities on the contract
* Utilise data management, analytics and reporting tools to drive financial and operational performance, including championing use of E15 Insights dashboards and working closely with the Levy E15 Insights team to drive improvements in reporting.
* Ownership of The Championships Food & Drink P&L, with full oversight and awareness of each line
* Ownership of Wimbledon Qualifying Food & Drink P&L, with full oversight and awareness of each line
* Lead balance sheet reviews, highlighting any risks and opportunities.
* Manage Working Capital targets within the business area.
* Support Head of Departments with understanding their budgets and tracking of their spend.
* Lead focus groups with the aim of controlling and tracking costs, as well as seeking out efficiencies.
* Lead on internal and external audit reviews
* Lead the budget and forecast review process, ensuring timelines are met.
* Develop strong relationships with the client to become a trusted individual.
* Involvement to support the month end accounts close
* Present at client meetings
* Perform any ad hoc duties as requested by the Senior Finance Hub Manager or Account Director
* Line manager and develop a team
