Project Manager (Smart Building Technologies) Gatwick Airport £40,000 - £50,000 About the Role Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for your next big challenge? This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking team delivering cutting-edge smart building technology solutions at one of the UK’s most dynamic travel hubs. As Project Manager, you’ll take a leading role in driving smart infrastructure projects across a high-profile account. You'll support the senior management team while owning day-to-day project activity—bringing expertise in systems integration, infrastructure, and AV, and delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll manage the full project lifecycle—planning, delivery, and handover. Key duties include: Leading site teams and ensuring smooth coordination of installation and commissioning activities Compile O&M manuals and associated project documentation, ensuring high quality and timely delivery. Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal departments Managing budgets, permits, documentation, and site logistics Enforcing health and safety best practices Producing detailed project reports and handover packs Ensuring high standards of quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction Supporting innovation and continuous improvement in service delivery You'll be a visible leader on site—proactive, detail-focused, and solutions-oriented. What We’re Looking For Experience: Proven background managing smart building systems or structured cabling projects Knowledge of copper/fibre infrastructure, CCTV, access control, AV, IoT, and wired/wireless networks Skills & Knowledge Strong commercial and contractual awareness Expertise in project documentation and programme planning Understanding of health and safety regulations including Working at Height, RAMS, and permit systems Familiarity with project testing protocols, including Fluke and OTDR Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and Project Qualifications (Essential) ECS Card SMSTS Full, clean UK Driving Licence Desirable Extras PRINCE2 / APM / CTPM certifications First Aid, IPAF or PASMA Awareness of AV, IoT, and structured cabling best practices Hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (7am–4pm) | Flexibility for night shifts and overtime when required Send a copy of your CV directly to (url removed) or call me on (phone number removed)
