About the Department:
We are looking to recruit a Specialty Coordinator to join our administrative teams within Radiology. Working within our busy environment you will be responsible for assisting in the provision of an effective, efficient and professional Radiology service.
Main duties of the job
About the Role:
To assist the Business Support Manager in managing the team to contribute to both national and local targets and protocols are met, and data captured is relevant, timely and accurate. To assist in supervising staff on a daily basis, ensuring staff training and development needs are met and staff adhere to the Trust's required behaviours and policies.
What we’re looking for:
Knowledge and experience of NHS targets is essential as is the ability to work to tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to work as an individual and as part of a team, having the ability to be flexible, prioritise and organise work in order to meet tight deadlines whilst being able to adapt to the changing needs of the service. It is essential to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, together with accuracy and attention to detail whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications
* Typing, Audio and Word/Text Processing skills to RSA III or equivalent experience
* GCSE English Language Grade C or equivalent and Mathematics
* Medical secretary qualifications
* Shorthand minimum 90 wpm
* 4 GCSE Grade C or equivalent
* AMSPAR – Medical Terminology Certificate
* Stage 1 – Management Development or equivalent
* D32/33 Assessor Award or equivalent
* NVQ III or equivalent
Previous Experience
* Medical Secretarial experience
* Supervisory experience
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* Knowledge of PAS
* Knowledge of 18 week RTT pathway and Access targets
Evidence of Particular knowledge, skills and aptitudes
* Ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
* Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload to achieve deadlines
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability and confidence to communicate at all levels
* Competent Microsoft Word User
* Validation of 18 week RTT pathway
