About the role - We are seeking customer-focused individuals to join our team as an Internal Sales Associate. These individuals will serve as the primary point of contact for inbound and some proactive sales activities, representing all divisions of Calibre Scientific. The role will involve working independently to drive sales revenue while collaborating with the field sales, service, and operational teams to provide outstanding support and contribute to ongoing sales growth initiatives.
Responsibilities:

* Interact with customers via the telephone, Email, website live chat to address enquiries, provide product information and assist with order status updates.
* Create, send, and follow up on quotations originating from enquires with the intent to close the sale, building and developing strong, ongoing relationships with new and existing customers.
* Proactively prospect for new business opportunities arising from, but not limited to, sales enquiries, new product launches and marketing campaigns, exhibitions etc.
* Prepare and submit bids for tenders on behalf of the organisation.
* Manage and facilitate activity from several shared sales and customer focused Email accounts.
* Generate sales reports, track sales activity, and analyse data to provide insight on sales performance, trends, and opportunities.
* Prepare regular sales reports for presentation at management review to support sales forecasting activities.
* Ensure that the CRM software is kept up to date with current product, price, and customer information.
* Support the organisation in organising conferences, sample campaigns and other company events.
* Collaborate with other departments such as Manufacturing, Customer Service and Logistics to ensure smooth co-ordination of sales activities.
* Provide support and assistance to the Field Sales and Marketing Team as required.
Experience & Skills:
* Previous experience in an internal customer/sales support role, ideally in a Life Science company.
* Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) for customer interactions and documentation.
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet sales goals.
* Basic understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
* Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to sales challenges.
Qualifications:
* Relevant work experience, preferably in sales or customer support.
* A BSc in a scientific discipline is preferred but not essential.
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
* Ability to analyze and interpret business data.
* Good mathematical skills (basic arithmetic and percentages).
