Exciting Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Term-Time Only)

Annual Salary: £20,941.30 - £22,835.30 (Term-Time Only)
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, Term-Time Only
The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with students aged 11-16 who have special educational needs, including Autism. You will collaborate with our committed teaching team to provide classroom support and assist in outdoor activities such as Bushcraft and life skills sessions. Your role will play a crucial part in both their academic progress and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide personalised support, ensuring students' safety and well-being.
2. Assist students in meeting the goals set in their Education and Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).
3. Implement positive behaviour strategies tailored to individual needs.
4. Keep accurate records of incidents, accidents, and health and safety matters.
5. Encourage positive social interactions and teamwork among students.
Who We're Looking For:
No prior experience is required-enthusiasm and a commitment to working with young people are what matter most. We're looking for candidates who have:
6. A strong desire to support young people and build meaningful relationships.
7. The ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
8. A positive, creative approach to problem-solving.
9. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
10. Basic numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills.
11. GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
