Position Overview The Composite Quality Inspector will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of composite products throughout the manufacturing process. This position requires a strong understanding of composite materials, inspection techniques, and industry standards. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to quality control, ensuring that all products meet the stringent quality requirements of JANS Composites and our clients. Key Responsibilities Inspection of Composite Parts: Conduct thorough inspections of composite materials and components at various stages of the manufacturing process, including raw materials, in-process, and final product inspections. Use precision measurement tools and equipment to verify dimensions, tolerances, and conformance to specifications. Quality Control Processes: Implement and maintain quality control processes in alignment with industry standards and company policies. Develop and update inspection plans, checklists, and quality control documentation. Defect Identification and Reporting: Identify, document, and report any defects or non-conformances found during inspections. Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues, recommend corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all products comply with applicable industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality control activities. Audits and Supplier Quality: Participate in internal audits and assist in preparing for external audits. Conduct supplier quality assessments and collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues. Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality standards and inspection techniques. Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in composite materials and quality inspection methods. Qualifications / Experience: Previous experience in quality inspection, with a focus on composite materials. Proven experience in a manufacturing environment. Skills and Knowledge: Strong understanding of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and inspection techniques. Proficient in the use of inspection tools Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Certifications: Certification in Quality Inspection (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector) is a plus. NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) certification in composites is advantageous.
