This is a full-time, office-based, permanent position. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30 am until 5.30 pm. You will be working for an award-winning, growing National Property Developer who are seeking a talented Procurement Manager to join their expanding team. You will report directly to their Senior Leadership Team, and you will liaise internally with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyor & Build Managers. Their development team operate in two markets, National Property Development & Civils. They purchase old commercial properties and refurbish them into residential properties through Permitted Development. Their Civils teams provide civil engineering solutions for the Construction & Telecoms industries.
As the Procurement Manager your duties will include…
* Review and process purchase orders, ensuring accurate coding of orders to projects.
* Maintain records of goods/services ordered and received/completed.
* Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers.
* Build and maintain relationships with vendors.
* Select prospective vendors and negotiate contracts.
* Evaluate vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price.
* Schedule deliveries and ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
* Monitor inventory and determine supply needs.
* Ensure quality of procured items and address problems when they arise.
* Travel to vendor locations.
* Work closely with Finance to ensure accuracy of inventory and coding of orders.
To be considered for this opportunity you will need…
* 2-3 years’ experience in purchasing.
