Capital Group is seeking to add an experienced Investment Analyst to our investment team, responsible the research, analysis, interpretation and dissemination of financial and market information upon which investment decisions are made, and for forming views within their coverage. At Capital Group all of our Investment Analysts manage assets in areas of high conviction in the market; an allocated research portfolio provides the opportunity to express your high-conviction ideas within funds. You will work in an environment that encourages entrepreneurship and creativity, continuing to develop your own investment style. As an analyst you will work alongside the industry’s most respected investment professionals and have access to senior management at a diverse set of companies. Key relationships include Research Director(s), Portfolio Managers and Investment Analysts, sector analysts within other divisions of Capital Group. Primary responsibilities include: Conduct financial analysis of companies within a designated coverage Analyse economic, financial and industry trends, and proactively communicate these findings with other analysts and portfolio managers Engage in primary, direct research in specific areas of coverage Maintain contact with company management teams and industry participants on a regular basis Produce written reports and regular updates, as needed Making investment recommendations to portfolio managers Manage a portfolio of securities drawn from your sector coverage Qualifications: Relevant experience across sector(s) and jurisdictions under your coverage Superior research skills and the drive to develop and share investment insight from multiple angles Understanding of equity markets with a demonstrated track record of success Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work proactively and creatively in a global team environment, and with a range of internal stakeholders Comfortable and familiar with presenting research in a variety of different ways, for example through thematic reports, weekly briefings and through oral presentation MBA and/or CFA preferred, not required In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
