The Radiology Department of Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells Hospitals is expanding its services and has vacancies for receptionists to join the busy and friendly team. This development includes the introduction of a community diagnostic centre near Maidstone Hospital, enhancing the availability of diagnostics to patients. The Radiology Department provides a wide range of services within various imaging modalities including CT, x-ray, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. Applicants should have excellent communication skills, a pleasant manner, and a reasonable level of computer literacy. A desire to expand beyond current experiences with a willingness to learn and meet new challenges is essential. While not essential, previous administrative experience in a healthcare setting and working with patient databases would be an advantage. The department is working towards a 7-day service, 8am-8pm including bank holidays, to better serve service users. There is flexibility in working hours where possible. Duties involve primary responsibility for arriving patients onto the radiology information system Soliton, welcoming them into the department, ensuring smooth running of reception, dealing with telephone queries, and general clerical duties.
