Job Description Quality Manager Full Time Bristol We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our engaging team in Bristol Turbines as a Quality Manager You will be working in a Facility that is going through an exciting rate growth journey and is leading the Company on Variable Guide Vane manufacture, comprising both Complex Casting and Machining processes. The role will lead and develop the manufacturing quality improvement plan for both Manufacturing Facilities, ensuring that Manufacturing Quality resources, governance tools and procedures within the facility are fit for purpose and support achievement of Quality targets. What you will be doing: You will be ensuring that our Manufacturing Quality resources, governance tools and procedures within the facility are fit for purpose and support achievement of Quality targets. Establishing governance of the effective deployment of the Rolls-Royce Management System within the business, you will also : Ensure the manufacturing quality processes and problem resolution approach are fit for purpose, through effective governance and embedding of tools and techniques. Identify top Pareto quality themes and lead action to resolve them. Be responsible for the development of people capability in the facilities and provide coaching as required, to ensure process compliance and highest standards of technical competence. Pull on functional resources so that they are adequately applied to enable the plant to meet its goals. Install an effective, visual plant-based governance structure that informs the plant of its performance and actions, inclusive of effective deployment of the Production System and the RRMS within the plants. Facilitating both internal and external Audits. Effective management of key escapes, with full compliance to process, including sentencing requirement and minimising disruption to the customer. Where warranted by impact or complexity, conduct investigations in domestic facilities and support any required interaction with internal and external customers and the presiding legal and or regulatory (airworthiness) authorities. Understand the Quality Performance element of the Voice of the Customer, develop integrated strategies to address that performance and lead their implementation across the business. Ensure an effective quality assurance system is in place and ensure there is governance and support in place for Non-Conformance Report closure within the required timeframe. Coaching the plant teams on Zero Defects and the embodiment of Human Factors to create a Just Culture driving down opportunity for human error. Experience in an operational environment at management level or equivalent either in Quality or as a Manufacturing Engineer or Production Leader or similar. Demonstrable evidence of business acumen; relating to quality, manufacturing and HSE activities and priorities. Sufficient knowledge to support the professional development of people manufacturing quality roles. Experience of leading teams, influencing and building relationships at different levels.
