Salary: £32,000 (fixed-term contract)
Holiday Allowance: 25 days pro rata plus a personal day
What You Need: 2:2 degree
Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire
Programme Start Date: 1 September 2025
Application Deadline: We recruit on a rolling basis, which means roles will be filled on a first come first served approach, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
About the Programme:
Our Supply Chain team is a global operation, responsible for getting products from farms and factories to our customers' cupboards. You'll start this two-year programme spending 12 weeks working in stores, getting to know how they operate. You'll then spend time working with our Change Managers, Analysts, and Operators. You could be doing anything from minimizing food waste through analyzing product pricing to engaging with suppliers to help drive benefits throughout the supply chain.
By the end of your programme, you will have gained all the necessary skills and knowledge you need to set you up for success. This programme provides a great foundation to accelerate your career to become a senior leader in our business.
Who We Are Looking For:
We're looking for grads with a passion for products and a love for food. It's not essential that you have any previous experience, but it definitely helps if you have a commercial mind, are comfortable with data, and are curious about market trends and changes.
Working at Our Welwyn Garden City Campus:
Our leafy, green campus is 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Welwyn Garden City with its many shops, restaurants, pubs, and sports facilities. Close to the A1, with frequent trains running to Finsbury Park in just 20 minutes (free shuttle buses take you between the station and office), the campus is well-connected to the surrounding area.
On campus, you'll find subsidized restaurants and coffee shops, as well as a Tesco Express to pick up your lunch or last-minute essentials. We also have a place where colleagues can connect and come together to unlock innovation and collaboration. Plus, we have an on-site Nuffield Health gym with state-of-the-art equipment, studios for classes, and treatment rooms (membership costs £23.50 per month).
Your Experience With Us:
Welcome! We'll kick off with you spending some time learning more about our business and your programme. It's a great opportunity for you to meet other grads and make some new connections. We'll then introduce you to your team, so you can get to know more about your role and the area you'll be working in.
Programme Structure:
You'll gain a breadth of product experience and skills as you complete a number of placements in different parts of either our food buying or supply chain areas.
Where Next?
There are a wide variety of job opportunities for you to apply for as you finish your programme. There's also an opportunity to complete a post-programme senior leader level 7 apprenticeship, with a possibility to top up to an MBA, helping you to accelerate your knowledge, skills, and behaviours to become a future leader in our business.
