Kingsley Consulting has partnered with a leading Roofing & Waterproofing Manufacturer to assist with appointing a Technical Sales Manager for their Flat Roofing Product Range. Our Client is of esteemed heritage within the Roofing Materials and Systems sector. They operate on a global scale, which means that they can offer the right candidate an unbelievable opportunity to further their career within the ever-growing UK Roofing Sector.
Remuneration: Salary NEG – OTE: £85,000 +
Benefits: Car/Car allowance, Pension, Medical
Duration: Permanent – 40hrs Monday to Friday
Location: Home based covering Cambridgeshire & East Anglia Regions
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop specification sales pipeline working closely with specifiers (Surveyors, Local Authorities, Building Owners, Architects etc).
2. Build relationships with Roofing Contractors to introduce product capabilities and collaborate on future project activity.
3. Develop relationships with key distribution partners in line with the business distribution strategy within the UK.
4. Maintain regular and effective liaison with existing clients to understand their needs and drivers and exceed expectations. Maximise business opportunity through specification sales and networking.
5. Identify new clients and develop a strategy to maximise opportunities including arranging and/or delivering CPD seminars.
6. Ensure that you maintain a positive and proactive level of communication with the existing contractor network, including regular meetings, to engender mutual trust and understanding.
7. Seek and create new business by developing a clear understanding of market sector opportunity in your area and prioritising specifying clients within these sectors.
Experience & Skills Required:
1. Technically focused/ Ideally Construction Product background (Roofing, Building Envelope etc..)
2. Must have Specification Sales experience or at least an understanding of this sales process.
3. Dynamic relationship builder and very target driven.
4. Proactive and able to work successfully using your own initiative and approach.
5. Experience in a sales construction related environment or similar where relationship management is paramount.
6. Experience of maintaining and developing customer and contractor relationships.
7. While the position is home based, the successful candidate must be able to visit Client sites within the Region.
