Automation Engineer

Your responsibilities as Automation Engineer:
1. Design, develop, and implement advanced automation systems to optimize manufacturing and operational processes.
2. Lead troubleshooting efforts to identify and resolve automation and control system issues, ensuring seamless operation.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to develop integrated solutions that meet organisational goals.
4. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system designs, specifications, and user manuals.
5. Oversee the installation, commissioning, and validation of automation systems, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
6. Stay ahead of industry advancements, researching and applying new technologies and methodologies to enhance automation capabilities.
7. Manage relationships with suppliers and contractors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality equipment and services.
8. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, implementing necessary protocols for system safety and reliability.
What we’re looking for:
1. A passion for technology and innovation, with a focus on driving efficiency and performance through automation.
2. Proven experience in automation engineering, with at least 4+ years in a similar role.
3. Knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA systems, and HMI development.
4. Understanding of industrial control systems, including sensors, actuators, and communication networks.
5. Proficiency in CAD software and programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) for system modelling and development.
6. A hands-on, proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills.
Ideal candidate profile:
1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. Demonstrated experience leading automation projects from design to implementation.
3. Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
