Job Title: Relief Security Officer Locations: Clapham Junction, Wimbledon & Vauxhall Stations Pay Rate: £12.50 per hour Shifts: Day & Night Shift (Minimum 8hrs / Shift) About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated Relief Security Officer to join our team. This role involves conducting security patrols at stations, ensuring a safe environment, minimizing anti-social behaviour, and responding to incidents as required. Key Responsibilities: Conduct security patrols and station searches following DfT guidelines. Monitor and report incidents, ensuring clear communication with station staff. Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with travel information. Enforce safety regulations, including keeping platforms clear and ensuring emergency procedures are followed. Work collaboratively to discourage anti-social behaviour and escalate incidents when necessary. Accurately log patrols, incidents, and reports in line with company policy. Support front-line staff and maintain high service standards for the client. What We're Looking For: Valid SIA Licence (essential). Rail security experience (highly beneficial). Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage incidents effectively and make sound judgments. Attention to detail, with experience in report writing. Excellent time management and organizational skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork. Training Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training. To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Security Account Manager. Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development. You are required to ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry. Security and Health & Safety Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site. Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage. Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening. To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers. Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process. Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client. To ensure check calls are being carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).
