ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated ICT Supplier Officer to join our Shared ICT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the council's relationships with IT suppliers and sourcing and procuring IT equipment, services, and software. This role involves negotiating and managing contracts and ensuring that suppliers meet the council's IT requirements. In this role, you will:
1. Provide advanced-level IT supplier and contract management.
2. Conduct market research to evaluate supplier offerings and negotiate competitive pricing and terms.
3. Manage the procurement process from vendor selection to contract execution and delivery.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key IT suppliers.
5. Monitor supplier performance and ensure they meet the council's SLAs and quality standards.
6. Negotiate and manage IT contracts, ensuring they align with the council's objectives and IT requirements.
7. Maintain up-to-date IT contract documentation.
8. Provide regular reports on IT spending and cost trends.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have:
1. Proven track record of successful IT sourcing and procurement projects.
2. Experience in IT procurement or supplier relationship management.
3. Strong communication skills, able to communicate complex information.
4. Ability to prioritise and plan workload effectively to ensure deadlines are achieved.
