Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.
We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.
Focusing on substance misuse and complex needs, we design and deliver learning interventions that are aimed at prevention, education, or promoting pathways into our recovery services. We work with some fantastic colleagues and together are all united in wanting to reduce the problems that substance misuse causes to families, friendships, workplaces, and communities in County Durham.
This is a varied and exciting role where you will be part of something that makes a real difference educating the community and fellow professionals in a number of different settings. One day you might be delivering in person in a school, the next virtually delivering our Open Access programme to a range of partnership agencies. We also design and deliver bespoke sessions to varied workplaces in the community.
You don’t have to be an expert in substance misuse to succeed in this role; we just want you to be an expert with people. If you are passionate about being the best you can be and you want to start the day with a sense of purpose and end the day with a sense of accomplishment and be part of a fantastic team, we want to hear from you.
Please note this role does require a driving licence and access to a car as you will be required to work across multiple sites.
What can Waythrough offer you…
1. Generous annual leave entitlement (27 days, plus bank holidays, increasing to 32 after 1 years’ service)
2. Annual leave purchase scheme
3. Enhanced occupational sick pay
4. Enhanced employer contribution to your workplace pension
