Resident Hotels is a specialist Hotel Management platform, that manages three hotel brands The Resident, Sleeperz and Cityroomz. We currently manage 10 hotels across the three brands. The Role As a 3rd Line IT Engineer, you will be a key part of our IT team, providing advanced technical support, maintaining critical systems, and contributing to the evolution of our IT infrastructure. This role involves resolving complex issues, optimising system performance, and implementing new technologies to support our hotels' operational and strategic goals. This is a 6 month foxed term, with possibility to extend. Key Responsibilities Provide 3rd line technical support, troubleshooting complex IT issues across multiple hotel sites. Manage, configure, and troubleshoot networking equipment, including firewalls, switches, and Wi-Fi systems, ensuring reliable connectivity across the estate. Administer and optimise Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Endpoint Manager. Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness. Monitor and maintain server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. Collaborate with 1st and 2nd line teams to provide escalated support and mentorship. Implement and enforce IT security policies, including identity and access management, data protection, and threat monitoring. Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new site implementations. Document technical processes and maintain accurate records of system configurations. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions. Out of hours support (rota) About You We’re looking for a proactive and solution-focused individual with a passion for technology and a strong background in IT infrastructure and cloud services. Your expertise will help us deliver reliable and innovative IT services that enhance our guests’ experiences and streamline hotel operations. Key Skills & Experience Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of networking, including VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless networks. In-depth experience with Microsoft 365, including administration and troubleshooting. Proficiency in Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Azure AD, and cost management. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in IT support roles, with at least 2 years in a 3rd line position. Experience in multi-site environments, ideally within the hospitality or service industry. Proven track record of managing and resolving escalated IT issues. Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent. Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert. Networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network). Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
