An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Healthcare Support Worker to join the team at South Pembrokeshire Hospital's Sunderland Ward.
This is a 40-bed unit focused on rehabilitation of the elderly. Both services are led by a consultant. Admissions are accepted by the community general hospitals.
The team works alongside community, primary care, and the acute sites to develop an integrated rehabilitation approach to promoting patient independence and best outcomes for discharge.
Main duties of the job
The candidate should be able to demonstrate some experience working with the elderly and understand the principles of rehabilitation nursing.
Full-time or part-time hours are available.
The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post; however, we welcome applications in English or Welsh.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
* Level 2 in care or ability to undertake a period of induction and on-the-job training to include theoretical knowledge of care and a range of work-related procedures, for example, completion of a competency-based workbook equivalent to Level 2 vocational qualification.
* Ability to understand and comply with mandatory induction standards and Code of Conduct for Health Care Support Workers in Wales.
* Level 2 vocational qualification in a relevant health care-related subject.
Experience
* Experience of working as part of a team.
* Previous experience working with people in a caring capacity.
Language Skills
* Welsh speaker (Level 1).

£23,970 a year per annum (pro rata if part-time).
