Vetro Social Care is actively seeking a Senior Tenancy Support Worker to work with a national homelessness charity in Glynneath that supports people experiencing challenges with their mental health and lifestyle choices. The organisation provides support to individuals to develop life skills so they are able to maintain a tenancy within the community.
Overview:
* Title: Senior Tenancy Support Worker
* Record of caseload management essential for this role
* Location: Glynneath (Driving license & own vehicle essential)
* Job Type: Long-term booking
* Shifts type: Monday - Friday 0900 - 1700 - 40 hrs per week
* Pay: £12.81 inc holiday pay

The role:
What you'll be doing as a Senior Tenancy Support Worker:
You will be responsible for providing social, emotional, and practical support to people experiencing challenges with their mental health and emotional well-being that could impact their ability to maintain a stable tenancy. Additionally, you will provide practical support regarding benefits & claims, housing options, and third-party agencies.
The candidate:
What you'll need to be successful as a Senior Tenancy Support Worker:
* Experience as a supported housing support worker and knowledge of current welfare and housing benefits.
* Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, attachment theory, and relationship-based approaches.
* Record in caseload management & working knowledge of current benefits system.
* Experience working within the mental health sector, social care sector, and/or supporting people experiencing emotional distress.
* Experience involving people accessing services in the design and development of the services they used with a strong focus on listening to people with lived experiences.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Understanding of safeguarding for adults.
* Self-awareness and willingness to engage in reflective practice and ongoing personal development.
