As a Finance Business Partner you will work closely with our senior business leaders providing insightful financial information which can be translated into effective commercial strategy that supports financial decision making and improves departmental performance.
The position involves offering financial business partnering services to various divisions, with a focus on one of our key areas (Sales or Service).
Responsibilities of the role
1. Business partnering multiple members of our Senior Leadership team to provide analysis and insight that links financial reports to business strategies and strategic plans.
2. Support senior leaders to drive financial performance improvement initiatives, enhance cost control and operational efficiency.
3. Support senior leaders with business case modelling to identify and appraise potential strategic investments, as well as tracking progress using suitable KPIs.
4. Budgeting and forecasting for future expectations of all overheads, including aiding the upkeep of the financial planning model for long term, fully integrated financial plans.
5. Support senior leaders with the development and ongoing reporting of an effective commercial strategy for each department.
6. Support with cost control governance across the organisation providing relevant data to support decision making on where investment and savings should occur alongside strategic plans.
7. Supporting the People team in tracking people costs and providing financial support for organisational structure changes and cost saving initiatives.
8. Undertaking project-based work for specific strategies and business initiatives.
9. Ensure all activity complies with all regulatory standards, GDPR and quality policies.
10. Actively contribute to improving the Finance team processes and procedures.
11. Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with senior managers and their teams, creating excellent working relationships across our colleague community.
Experience / Qualifications
12. A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in a role such as Management Accountant, Finance Manager or Finance Analyst.
13. Experience of business partnering members of a senior team, influencing and shaping decisions within a complex changing environment
14. In depth knowledge of cost control management and how to implement and track different initiatives.
15. Education: Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA or CIMA).
16. Industry Experience: Information Technology, Utilities and/or Service provision; preferred
17. IT literate, with knowledge of the effective use of Microsoft (Word, excel PowerPoint); essential.
