On call / Standby: 1 week in every 4
We are advertising this Area Maintenance Technician role on behalf of our client ‘City Facilities Management’. City was established in 1985 and has grown to become one of the world’s largest privately held, integrated FM companies.
Job Purpose: This key position involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several site locations. The role includes non-technical repairs and minor PPMs, assisting in electrical and mechanical plant works at various sites, and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Prioritising and completing minor maintenance and repair work to agreed timescales.
2. Completing all necessary PPMs and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales.
3. Responding promptly to service call requests from the Helpdesk and assessing job requirements.
4. Ensuring tools and equipment for maintenance and repairs are available and serviceable.
5. Attending other sites within the Division as required.
6. Working with company and client colleagues to maintain quality standards.
7. Representing the company professionally and developing good working relationships.
8. Supporting other City technicians/teams with maintenance work.
9. Carrying out tasks in accordance with specific KPIs.
10. Monitoring and updating the Mercury system with live job updates.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Educated to GCSE / Standard Grade level as a minimum.
2. Trade qualifications are advantageous.
3. Previous experience in building maintenance is required.
4. Ability to maintain and repair a range of equipment.
5. Quality and efficiency of repairs and maintenance.
6. Problem-solving skills.
7. Good PC skills – Apple and Android.
8. Response to service call requests within agreed times.
9. Achievement of PPM schedule within agreed timescales.
10. Maintenance of Health and Safety policy.
11. Strong client and colleague relationships.
12. Full UK driving license.
13. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must have a clean/full UK driving license.
