The Role
Position: Full Time
Location: Poole, UK (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £40,000
We’re looking for a digital marketing expert with a background in SEO to join our Marketing team.
As our new SEO Specialist, you’ll have at least 5 years’ experience in performing SEO either in-house, freelance or from another agency. Your role will be planning strategy and implementing SEO activity for our range of B2C and B2B clients. You will have support of the wider marketing team which includes our Account Managers and other specialists to ensure you are able to achieve our clients’ goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Help to lead the development and execution of organic search strategies to improve rankings, traffic and conversions on our client’s websites.
* Carry out regular technical site audits for clients and make recommendations for optimising their sites.
* Work closely with Account Managers to formulate SEO roadmaps and strategies for our clients, contribute to pitches and review campaign performance.
* Working closely with the PPC, Content & Account Management teams, make on-page recommendations based on keyword research.
* Support the web team with website launches and migrations (redirect strategies, content migration, crawl-budget optimisation).
* Implement SEO set-ups on websites as directed.
* Ensure all conversion tracking measurements are set up on every client website.
* Ensure GMB profile for each client is set-up correctly & updated.
* Work with Content to create backlinking strategy for each website where applicable.
* Stay current with industry trends and leverage best-in-class tools and software.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
* Drive innovation through testing new strategies.
* Oversee the performance of SEO campaigns and ensure adherence to best practices.
* Manage hands-on execution of SEO tasks and delegate sub-tasks within the team.
* Regularly conduct detailed data analyses, audits, and optimise campaigns based on findings.
* Report key metrics and campaign performance to the Account Managers and clients.
Requirement of the Role:
* Minimum 5+ years’ experience in both execution and strategy.
* Excellent knowledge and experience of organic SEO.
* Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager and Google Data Studio.
* Excellent standard of copywriting and command of written English.
* Good understanding of various website CMS platforms, including WordPress and Shopify.
* Strong Communication skills – written and verbal.
* Attention to detail and commitment to performance optimisation.
* Organised yet flexible, able to prioritise own and others’ workload to meet agreed deadlines.
* Exceptional technical SEO skills, including but not limited to, how to manage and influence website health, Core Web Vitals, hreflang tag usage, website speed, and structured data.
* A strong understanding of Content Marketing and PPC, and how they interact with and complement SEO.
* Advanced knowledge of SEO tools.
