The Role We are looking for a motivated and experienced planner to join our team and contribute to two exciting residential projects in London, St Johns Hill in Clapham and Watermeadow Court (307 units), a stone’s throw away in Imperial Wharf (266 units). You will have at least 3-5 years of planning experience, ideally with a background of high rise residential from the build sector rather than civil engineering. In this role, you’ll be using Asta and working closely with our Head of Planning and Construction Director, who will support you across these projects. From day one you’ll be based on site, collaborating with the teams and taking full ownership of the delivery programmes for both schemes. Since both projects are at different stages, this role will be super interesting, seeing through two schemes to completion and then transitioning onto a brand-new scheme, also in west London, where you’ll be making your mark right from the outset. Ours is a high-performance culture. In this role, that means being on the front foot when it comes to preconstruction planning and logistics. It also means forming a trusting, candid collaboration with Construction/Project Directors so that you can keep refining the logistics plans and work programmes that mean we’re on track, keeping our promises with our subbies and JV partners. Because the team is close-knit, you’ll have more hands-on responsibility and ownership over tasks and project outcomes than you might expect elsewhere. You’ll also start to learn more about implementing 4D, developing your MEP planning skills and involvement in the front end of our growing business. We’re all about learning and growth here. To support that, you’ll have 1-1 check ins, site visits to our projects across London and an intentional plan to support you build the relationships that you need to succeed. Our site offices are way better than the norm. No uninspiring portacabins here – these are spaces that we’re proud of and that you’ll love, with expansive sofas, a top-notch kitchen, and recreational areas where you’ll see darts thrown, putts sunk and meaningful relationships built. So, if shaping London’s communities appeals to you and you can see yourself growing in an environment where you’ll love the work and love who you’re becoming as you do it - apply now Mount Anvil What we do: We’ve worked in partnership for 31 years to create outstanding places in London. We’re growing, with our construction turnover doubling, and with a pipeline of new projects where we’re raring to get started and make a difference. Why we’re here: We’re here to pursue better, differently. Better : One of The Sunday Times’ “100 Best Small Companies to Work For” for over a decade, winner of multiple Pride In The Job and WhatHouse awards for our people and the quality of our homes, and proud to have the nation’s best site in our ranks (winning the highest possible marks across the Considerate Constructors Scheme’s five areas – the first site ever to do so in 22 years of the CCS). Differently: Our culture is unusual. Different means more transparent with information. More direct with feedback that helps us all grow. More rigorous about setting goals, then giving more freedom to go and achieve them. It’s definitely not for everyone. We don’t hire know-it-alls, we hire “learn-it-alls”. As our CEO, Killian, says: “We work hard to find people who thrive on context and responsibility, rather than rules and procedures. We then work like owner managers, not a leader and a load of helpers. ” Benefits: Private medical insurance for you and your family through Vitality (including discounts on spa breaks, cinema tickets and your food shopping, free Starbucks, 50% off Virgin Active Membership and more). Income Protection Insurance to help you cope financially if you’re unable to work due to illness or injury, Life Assurance equivalent to four times your salary, your annual leave & Bank Holidays, enhanced maternity and paternity leave and workplace nursery salary sacrifice, allowing you to save tax and NI on monthly nursery fees. We think the best benefit of being here is the learning culture and the ability to make a real difference – we dislike hierarchy and politics, and “not my job” isn’t in our vernacular. Which means if you really care about raising the bar and really want to feel connected to the end product, as opposed to like a cog in a big machine, this could be the place for you to grow your career.
