Role Overview: As a Digital UX Designer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering seamless and intuitive user experiences across our digital platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including marketers, developers and product managers to create designs for ongoing development, as well as general web/digital marketing assets. Your work will directly impact the customer journey on the Neilson website. Key Responsibilities: UX/UI Design: Lead the design process for our digital platforms, ensuring a user-centric approach across web, mobile and app interfaces. Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs using Figma or similar design tools - with a ‘mobile-first’ approach where applicable. Translate business requirements into functional, intuitive, and aesthetically engaging digital experiences. Continuously improve design solutions based on user testing, analytics, and feedback. Collaborate with Development Teams: Work as part of an Agile development team, providing designs and assets that align with sprint cycles and timelines. Ensure smooth handoffs of designs to the development team, and support them throughout the QA and implementation process by providing necessary design assets and guidance. Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure design accuracy and consistency across all platforms. User Research and Testing: Conduct user research and usability testing to identify pain points and gather insights for design improvements. Build customer journey maps via research and using data from our Contentsquare platform Use data-driven approaches to iteratively improve user experiences and ensure design solutions are based on real user feedback. Skills & Experience: Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a UX Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work in commercially oriented digital environments. Proven experience working in an Agile development environment, collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and other team members - ideally using dev management tools and ticketing systems such as Jira Experience with Conversion Rate Optimisation experts, and the platforms they use, as this role will involve a close relationship with our CRO Manager and their A/B testing framework and timelines. Solid ecommerce experience - familiarity with acquisition and retention channels (paid & organic search, email etc) and how different website visitors behave based on source and intent. Technical Skills: Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or other modern design and prototyping tools. Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, usability, accessibility and interaction design, particularly with a focus on commercial, transactional websites. Experience in creating responsive designs for both web and mobile applications. Familiarity with HTML/CSS and an understanding of how designs are implemented within a development environment. Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects at once. Desirable: An interest in travel and outdoor activities (experience in the travel and tourism industry is a plus). Experience designing for resort/holiday brands or similar industries is a bonus.
