We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our supportive secondary school. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, resilient, and committed to making a positive impact on students’ lives. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, both in class and in small group settings. Help manage behavioral challenges, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement individual learning plans. Support students’ emotional well-being and social development. Encourage engagement and motivation in learning through personalized strategies. Requirements: Experience working with young people with SEMH needs (school or similar setting preferred). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff. A calm, patient, and positive approach to behavior management.
