The Role
The primary responsibility is to maintain and update the company’s database of product costings and the processes that feed into it, ensuring that accurate and timely product cost information is always available for analysis and key business and commercial decision making. They will also play a key role in supporting the Finance Manager in analysing and reporting actual manufacturing costs against standard costs and collaboratively working with stakeholders to improve business performance to maximise profit.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
1. Continually review and keep product pricing schedules up to date.
2. Close collaboration with Commercial and New Production Development, performing financial modelling scenarios.
3. Create product pricing schedules for new products and maintain up to date schedules for existing products.
4. Ensure accuracy of master data for all product parts and creation of product costings.
5. Review and challenge assumptions for the Bill of Material (BOM) for all products.
6. Regular updates of standard costs.
7. Monitor, analyse and report on variances in actual costs against standard costs.
8. Continually review and improve all product costing and reporting processes.
9. Preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
10. Assisting in audits whilst working with external auditors.
11. Assisting with stock reports and stock counts.
12. Investigating costs and suggesting cost saving measures.
13. Completing ad hoc duties for the Finance Managers and Finance Director.
14. Provide financial support to Senior Managers and Company Directors as required.

Experience:
1. FMCG or manufacturing and cost accounting experience.
2. Experience/ understanding of standard costings.
3. Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
Education/Qualifications:
1. Qualified/ Part-Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant
Hours of Work
1. Hours of work will be from 8.00am to 5.00pm.
