How you'll make a difference
Working with the Director of Strategy, Engagement and Change (SEC), you will ensure a fully comprehensive and confidential personal assistant service. You may also provide support to the SEC leadership team and cover for other PA colleagues in the department when necessary.
What you will be doing
* Daily, you will manage diaries, make appointments, arrange meetings and provide project specific support.
* You are expected to work with a high level of personal initiative, illustrating a proactive approach to managing these tasks.
* It will be your responsibility to provide advice to customers, contacts, external organisations and colleagues, ensuring they receive appropriate guidance about policies, procedures and processes.
* Due to the nature of the role, you will deal with a range of sensitive and confidential issues.
What we need from you
* It is essential that you have recent experience of working as a Personal Assistant or Project Support Officer in a busy and complex environment, supporting a senior manager.
* You must be able to demonstrate relevant experience in organisation and administration across a range of different disciplines and skills.
* We require you to be flexible, resilient and have good attention to detail with the ability to work on your own initiative.
* You will need to have knowledge of IT, specifically in using Microsoft Office programmes. Although not essential, it would be advantageous to have experience of working within local government.
What you need to know
* This is a part-time role, working 22.2 hours per week (salary will be pro rata to hours).
* This is being offered as a limited term contract for a period of 12 months.
