Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and growing international small/medium-sized group to recruit a dynamic & hands-on Finance Manager/Management Accountant based in Wotton-Under-Edge, Gloucestershire. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, this successful import business provides a real passion for quality and providing customer support. The position is very varied, involving developing/implementing financial processes to aid business growth through to financial analysis to aid important business decision-making, along with being hands-on in the daily/monthly accounting routine. Offering remote/office hybrid working & future career development, this is a unique opportunity where you can really add value reporting directly to the Senior Management Team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
Key duties will involve overseeing the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Developing and implementing financial policies/procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, along with providing financial reports & analysis to support important decision-making. You will manage the company's cash flow, working capital and financial risk, prepare/present financial reports to senior stakeholders, ensure the accurate completion of all financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements. You will be fully accountable for all financial management, including the entry/administration of financial information, managing sales ledger, purchase ledger, payroll, VAT & related duties. You will be involved in ad-hoc financial duties & projects.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this permanent Finance Manager role, you will need experience in a similar position, qualified by experience or part-qualified/qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA. Experience with financial systems, key MS Excel skills & ideally have worked within a growing small/medium-sized company, business partnering with senior stakeholders. Experience with budgeting/forecasting/financial analysis along with strong communication skills to partner internally/externally at all levels. You will be adaptable to business needs with a hands-on and proactive approach. You will be used to managing your own workloads to meet deadlines, be motivated to improve/implement new processes to enable better efficiencies. Experience with Xero financial system and within the Import sector would be advantageous but not essential.
