About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our company, acting as the critical link between the Client and its vendors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project controls and process engineering from either an oil and gas service company or operator background.
This role is perfect for someone skilled in managing projects, driving progress, and maintaining seamless communication between the Client and its vendors. You will work directly with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, contributing to key strategic objectives. Ideally the candidate would have a strong engineering underpinning to help manage engineering scopes.
Oil and Gas industry experience is essential, as is the ability to work in the UK without restriction or sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Planning & Control:
* Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
* Utilize project controls techniques to manage cost forecasting, reporting, and risk management.
* Ensure effective resource allocation and track project progress against agreed milestones.
* Coordinate project documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with MOSL & Client standards.
* Client Interface & Stakeholder Management:
* Act as the primary point of contact between the MOSL & Client and its vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
* Facilitate meetings and manage relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
* Manage the engineering scopes, vendor performance, ensuring adherence to contracts and agreed project deliverables.
* Resolve technical and commercial issues that may arise, ensuring smooth project execution.
* Reporting & Documentation:
* Prepare regular project reports, including cost, schedule, and progress updates, for senior management and stakeholders.
* Ensure all documentation is compliant with both internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
* Support the reconciliation of project data, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all reporting.
* Risk & Issue Management:
* Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project delivery timelines or budget.
* Proactively address project challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to project flow.
* Support & Coordination:
* Collaborate closely with the project teams and departments to ensure all deliverables meet MOSL & Client operational standards.
* Provide engineering support during various stages of the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and close-out.
Requirements:
* Experience : Extensive of experience in project engineering, project controls, and process engineering within the oil and gas sector, ideally within an operator or service company.
* Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of project management principles, cost control, and risk management. Experience with project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
* Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with vendors, contractors, and senior management.
* Education : Degree in Process Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
* Skills : Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Location : Willingness to travel to visit project sites as required.
