Our Court of Protection Team primarily specialises in supporting clients (adults and children) who have lost capacity as a result of a traumatic brain injury. The team currently supports in the region of 200 clients with in excess of £200m cash and investments to manage. What you'll do You will be supported by and work with the wider Mental Capacity team to offer support to the client base on all matters related to financial functions. You'll carry out bank reconciliations to ensure payments are allocated correctly, and report on cash-flow. You will be responsible for opening accounts as appropriate in individuals’ names, filling out forms -such as standing orders, making payments on their behalf and ad hoc data entry. Ensuring client service is central to everything we do so you will be required to work to business and team objectives as agreed on a quarterly and annual basis as part of a friendly team. What we're looking for This role would suit someone look to start their career in finance (entry level), or someone who has a little finance/accounts admin experience but is perhaps looking to develop that further in the corporate world. With some admin experience, and confident MS Office skills (including Excel) you'll need a flexible and enthusiastic approach. You'll need good business communication skills to develop relationships with team members, and you will understand the importance of knowledge sharing.
