About us
Fast, flexible finance empowers small businesses to manage their cash flow better and seize opportunities - making their business and the economy stronger as a whole. At iwoca, we do just that. We help businesses get the funds they need, when they need it, often within minutes.
We’ve already made several billion in funding available to over 100,000 businesses since we launched in 2012, and positioned ourselves as a leading Fintech in Europe. Our mission is to finance one million businesses. We’ll get there by continuing to make our finance ever more relevant and accessible to more businesses by combining cutting-edge technology, data science and a 5-star customer service.
Role Overview
As a Strategy Analyst, you will be part of a team which supports the development and implementation of strategies to improve efficiency and drive performance across our Operations teams. Your role will be primarily focused on People Operations, using your analytics and problem-solving skills to shape and implement People strategy. This will take between 50-80% of your time, and the rest of your time will be focused on UK Operations projects (working with Customer Success, Credit Analysts and Collections & Legal).
Key Responsibilities
Here’s a flavour of the kinds of projects you’ll be working on:
* Analysing our benefits package, doing a quantitative assessment of costs and usage, and then recommending improvements that either fill gaps in our offering, or provide better bang-for-buck.
* Owning the quality of our people data, and how this is used and shared across the business (e.g. team budgeting, headcount forecasting, analysis of fair pay, etc.).
* Determining the value of employee stock options grants, and how these are awarded - you’ll be providing clear and accurate data to ensure that annual grants are fair when considering total compensation for senior management.
* Setting up and analysing survey data - gathering high quality data which yields useful and actionable insights to improve our people strategy, e.g. D&I surveys, community surveys, candidate NPS surveys, etc.
On the UK Operations side, you’ll build foundational knowledge in Operations processes across various aspects of the customer journey, from signup through to collections. This could include:
* Determining the optimal contact strategy for the Customer Success team to enhance conversion rates.
* Evaluating the value of contacting delinquent customers and testing these approaches.
* Forecasting capacity needs for each team to eliminate operational bottlenecks.
In this role, you’ll report to the Head of Operations Strategy and work very closely with the COO (who started as People Director, promoting progressive and innovative People strategies at iwoca). You’ll also work very closely with the CFO, Finance team, Head of Talent, Head of People, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
Essential:
* Experience working in a top-tier strategy consultancy or a strategic role at a tech or finance company.
* Strong analytical skills, we live and breathe data.
* Proven ability or a strong desire to implement findings from your analysis; we need a ‘doer’ who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and working across the business to see your work come to fruition.
* A natural curiosity to spot, break down, and resolve problems.
* Ability to distill complex information into key points so that it is succinct and engaging in both written and verbal forms.
* A team player with a balance of confidence, humility, and enthusiasm.
* High levels of personal integrity, given your exposure to sensitive data and projects.
Bonus:
* Finance and accounting knowledge to help you get to grips with areas like our employee stock option grants.
* Experience or interest in learning Python.
* Passionate about helping small businesses thrive—belief in our mission is important!
