Client service manager – Stratford upon Avon Salary – £40k-£50k, subject to experience. Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours a week, flexible working hours. Primarily office based, with some flexibility to work from home on occasion. Job description You will oversee a varied portfolio of clients and be the key point of contact for those clients. You will understand client needs and assist with proactive planning / advisory work with the support of an established team of accountants who are training towards professional qualifications. In some cases, you will prepare accounts yourself, in other cases you will delegate this responsibility to juniors and take a more supervisory role. In addition to your recurring compliance work, you will also have the opportunity to oversee ad hoc projects for your clients, such as valuations, cashflow forecasts, advice on acquisitions and disposals, and restructuring. The role requires coordinating various departments towards the same goals to meet project objectives. You will be involved with supporting and training junior members of the staff along with helping them with technical problems when they arise, and ensuring their development is achieved. You will report directly to a partner. As a result, you will be required to manage your own workflow effectively and delegate where necessary. Summary of main duties Accounts preparation of complex limited accounts jobs through to Partner review, including full reconciliation of balance sheet items and summary file notes Preparation of corporation tax return computations for Tax Manager review Shared supervision of accounts team to ensure the delivery of internal targets Review of lower complexity accounts jobs Shared training / development of part qualified accounts trainees Building and maintaining client relationships including client meetings where required Ad hoc client queries, project assignments, and interaction / support of other departments within the firm Identification and implementation of new processes, systems, and controls Skills and experience required. You will have experience that supports these responsibilities, but more importantly, you’ll have an appetite for challenges, a willingness to learn and a can-do attitude, you won’t be afraid to suggest new ideas and help us grow as a business. ACA/ACCA qualified. Prior experience with CCH accounting software would be advantageous but not essential to the role. Knowledge and exposure to FRS 102 with a good understanding of accounting standards relevant to small and medium size entities. Good communication and organisational skills are essential. Excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask and manage own work effectively. Proficient with computers, particularly Microsoft packages You will have to make some visits to clients. Access to a car and a valid UK driving license are essential. About the company. The company has expanded in recent years, merging with Leigh Graham Associates (another Stratford based accountancy practice) in April 2022 before becoming part of TC Group (a nationwide group of accountants) in November 2023. You would be joining an office of around 50 people, based just outside Stratford with free onsite parking.
