We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our dynamic team at one of our specialist schools in Trowbridge. The school has a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is valued, celebrated, and supported to achieve their full potential. Their tailored curriculum focuses on developing life skills, communication, and independence, underpinned by therapeutic and multi-sensory approaches.
As a Primary Teacher, you will:
* Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, teaching assistants, and support staff, to provide holistic education.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.
* Monitor and assess progress using personalized education plans (PEPs), providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
* Participate in training and professional development to stay at the forefront of SEND teaching methods.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Proven experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
* Creativity and adaptability to deliver engaging, sensory-based lessons tailored to individual needs.
