About the Role:
As an agency representing dedicated and skilled Qualified SEN Teachers, we are thrilled to offer opportunities at a school in Tunstall. SEN Teachers play a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that students with diverse learning requirements receive the necessary support to achieve their academic potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Individualised Support: Work in the classroom to help children and young people learn appropriate social skills and assist them with their academic work.
2. Lesson Planning: Create individualised lesson plans for each student based on their abilities and unique needs.
3. Collaboration: Collaborate with other professionals, including teaching assistants, therapists, and parents, to ensure holistic support for students.
4. Adaptability: Be flexible and responsive to the varying needs of pupils, celebrating their achievements and progress.
Requirements:
5. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): You must hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
6. Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential.
7. Empathy: Approach each student with patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
8. Effectivemunication: Strongmunication skills to work effectively within a team and with students.
9. Safeguarding:mitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Pupils Needs:
The school caters to pupils aged 4 to 11 with a range of special educational needs. These needs include autism, emotional and behavioural disorders, and learning disabilities or difficulties.
